PLEASE help !! Guy problems..?

Okay so I like this guy and I THINK he likes me. Were in 7th grade btw. Anyways today I was in cl and I got a zap (where someone writes a persons name on ur hand and you have to ask them out) and I got picked for the person I liked and everyone knew I wanted to do it and stuff. Then the whole cl started yelling "do it ask him!!" and saying his name and stuff so it gave it away but when I was walking in the halls he said so what did u want to ask me and I said ...will you go out with me and he said is it a zap?? And I was like yea:) but then when we were walking my friend said hay (person I likes name) she wants to tell you something!! And then she ran off so it was just us then he's like what and I was like nothing and he said you sure there's nothing you wanted to say and I said yea and he said are you sure sure and I said yes then he said are you sure sure sure sure? And I said yes I'm sure sure sure sure. Then my friends kept smiling and looking back cause they knew I liked him. He didn't say no when I asked him out for zap and the whole time I was talking to him he was smiling. So I want to say "look no zap...so will you go out with me?" should I say it shy or confident and just say it like with what emotions or facial expressions.
