Is ''sounding black'' detrimental to someone's success in the professional environment?

I'm not talking about vocabulary. Hypothetically, the person dresses well, is respectful and uses correct grammar. But what if you were able to know they were black on the phone without even meeting them? Would that hurt their chances of getting a job the same way it might if someone had a made up name like Ju'Not?
