Snifing Quartz powder?

I decided to sniff Quartz(98% SiO2) powder several times to determine if it has odor. Now I am afraid that I will get Silicosis, a lung disease, and die in 10 years. I will not sniff it again, however, since I did not feel any pain when I was sniffing it, was this detrimental to do?
