Waters started to go??

im so fed up.. i'm 39+4 and i have been losing the 'plug' since monday, and have had very iregular contractions/BH since then. some stronger than others, but today they've been fairly regular, but copeable.. and mostly in my back. i had a trickle this morning too, which midwife at hosp said it could be start of waters going. but i am just unsure what exactly is going on, as its my first baby, i dont know whats what and whats supposed to happen etc.. i cant get in to see a doctor and my midwife is off duty until saturday. the hosp said i might need to go in for a check this afternoon, but am worried shes just gonna tell me nothing is happening etc.. i just feel i need some reurance, i just want labour to kick in and start.. its getting me down a bit just waiting.. and not knowing whats going on with my body. also the baby isnt moving too much either. she is normally quite active, but today she hasnt been. i also saw the midwife a week ago, and she wasnt engaged-could she be now?
